WHAT WILL YOU DO?

The Rooms Division Manager is responsible for the optimal management and performance of the Rooms Division (Front Office, F&B/meetings, and Housekeeping) of Malie House. The Rooms Division Manager operates as a tactical and operational leader within and forms the link between daily operations and the strategic frameworks of the Head of Operations. In this role, you are ultimately responsible for a stable, efficient, and high-quality daily operation in Malie House. You will perform the following tasks, among others:

  • Operational management: You ensure a smooth daily operation of Front Office F&B(Service) and Housekeeping. You oversee correct staffing, deployment, and handover between shifts;
  • Leadership and team development: You are responsible for directly leading the Front Office Manager and Housekeeping Supervisor and for their performance and development. You are also responsible for ensuring proper staffing and processes regarding recruitment, selection, and onboarding of employees within the departments based on HR processes;
  • Financial and administrative management: You monitor personnel costs, productivity, and efficiency within FO, HK, and F&B and manage the operational budgets within the Rooms Division. You also oversee timely and correct purchasing and control correct revenue and hours registration;
  • Revenue and performance management: Together with the Front Office Manager and Revenue & Reservations Coordinator, you work on occupancy and upsell optimization. You work closely with the FO team and analyze pick-up, occupancy rates, and opportunities to undertake for the two locations in the low season and/or special events;
  • Optimization and projects: of operational services with a focus on optimizing (personal) quality and effectiveness Ensure an attractive product and service offering

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Just like the team, you are someone who does everything to make our guests happy. Furthermore:

  • Higher professional education work and thinking level (Hospitality Management / Business Administration);
  • Several years of experience in a managerial department manager or Operations manager role;
  • Proven experience in managing managers;
  • Knowledge of company rules, guidelines, and relevant laws and regulations;
  • Excellent command of Dutch and English;
  • Practical insight into the available systems;
  • Flexibly deployable: Shifts also take place on weekends and evenings;
  • Knowledge of (financial) key figures and analytical insight.
  • You are enthusiastic and have a hands-on mentality and a proactive attitude;
  • You dare to make decisions and cut knots and take responsibility for them.
  • You are a leader who is aware of his/her role model and direct influence on the satisfaction of our internal and external guests.
